pan am

i decided to throw a small impromptu pan am party.

the reason??

my dad was one of the first male flight attendants ever!

pan am

he started his career with continental as a flight attendant and remained with them in various positions for over 35 years.
we (or just really me) decided it would be fun to honor him and the good ol' days of flying with a viewing party with the family.

pan am

a small 60s' inspired dessert was in order.

::pound cake with fruit cocktail (and peanuts just for kicks!)

::baptist mojitos (hehe)

we're all hooked into the show.
the men have the spy twist they like ::and the women in uniform::
the girls love the drama ::and men in uniform::

it was bittersweet. we all had fun and and enjoyed hanging out as a family.
we just knew how much my dad would get a kick out of the show; either telling us "yup, that's what really happened in those days" or "really?? that's just for tv!"

we miss you dad, i think this might turn into a weekly family night...i see it now
::pizza and pan am ♥::
